I’ve created a variety of art over the years in Photoshop - but collage has always been my favorite. Take a look below to view some of my work.
The Source of Inspiration
For my Media 1 class, we were showed the basics of how Photoshop worked and were assigned to create several pieces of work using basic Photoshop editing skills. Once I realized that I could create surreal and fun images in a form of digital collage, I was in love. Over the next couple of years I continued to play around with digital collage in my classwork.
Practical Applications
I worked at a restaurant called Peabody’s Cafe for several years, and I was able to use my Photoshop skills to help highlight the restaurant’s claim to fame: The Best Bloody Mary’s Ever! The image was posted on the Peabody’s Cafe website.
Redbubble
I wanted to make work that I had rights to and could legally sell, so I created a series of digital collages using images from Unsplash. Ultimately I shifted the focus of my Redbubble account into my coaching practice so I took the collages down, but I loved expanding my skills and experience by creating these digital works and plan to continue doing so in the future.
Affirmation Stickers
Several years ago I created a Law of Attraction-related affirmation design on my Redbubble, and people loved it, especially in the form of stickers. With no external marketing beyond adding proper keywords when uploading my design, I have sold over 200 stickers. This inspired me to create even more affirmation designs that could be sold as stickers, mugs, t-shirts, or other products, and they have also been selling well.
